Car hire Worcester – The City of Worcester is located close to the M5, it is almost exactly halfway between Gloucester and Birmingham. Famous for Glove manufacture, Royal Worcester porcelain and of course the famous Lea and Perrins sauce, Worcester is a city rich in history and culture.

Occupied since Neolithic times Worcester, the county town of Worcestershire, has varied greatly in structure and fortune over the years. It was all but destroyed in 1041 by a rebellion against taxes. Then in 1651 it was the site of the Battle of Worcester, Charles II‘s attempt to regain the crown. It survived to be chosen as the seat of the evacuated government, should a German invasion have ensued during World War 2.

Whether your visit will include a trip to the magnificent Cathedral on the banks of the river Severn, the crypt of which dates back to the 10th century, or a tour of ‘Greyfriars’, the stunning merchants house built in 1841 and saved from demolition in the 40s, our car rental will aid your travel around this superb city.
